Pere Marquette Hotel in downtown Peoria will remain a Marriott.
The Gary Mathews management group says an agreement has been reached with Marriott for the Pere Marquette Hotel and Courtyard downtown to allow the brand to remain.
The Pere’s been granted an extension on its financial obligations through March 23. The extension for the Marriott Courtyard is good through April 17.
Mathews group says it will continue to pursue restructuring options to ensure the continued success, of the Pere and Courtyard, citing the property as an important economic and cultural icon to Peoria.
