Now Hiring: City Council Looks to Fill Vacant At-Large Seat

The Peoria City Council is looking to fill an at-large seat, at least for a little while.

The resignation of At-Large Councilman Ryan Spain leaves a vacancy the council is looking to fill.

The mayor’s office is accepting applications from those interested in serving on the council in an at-large capacity.

Those interested in applying are asked to submit a cover letter, resume and any other supporting documentation to the mayor's assistant Brenda Hopwood.

Resumes can be delivered electronically or USPS.  All submissions will be posted on the city’s website. The deadline for applications is December 30th. The term of the vacancy is three and a half months.

The remainder of Spain’s at-large term will be filled in the spring municipal elections.
