Peoria police are investigating three shootings that happened late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
A man was shot in the 1900 block of Dechman at about 11:40p.m. Another man was shot on West Ann at 1:52a.m. He is in critical condition. A third man and a woman were shot in a home on University Street about 2:05a.m.
Lieutenant Scott Cook says the department is focused on thorough investigations, and extra patrols are on the street. "The police department is also focusing in the group known as Bomb Squad, which has been driving some of the recent violence in the city.” Cook says intelligence gathered throughout the summer points to the Bomb Squad.
Police believe all of the incidents were targeted.
