QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - An escapee from a Peoria correctional facility has been recaptured in Quincy.

Police found 25-year-old Justin W. Happel late Saturday afternoon sitting in a pickup truck in a Quincy park.

Police say Happel didn't return to the Peoria Adult Transition Center work-release facility on Saturday. He was known to have family in the Quincy area and authorities thought he might return to the area.

Happel was taken into custody without incident. He's serving a four-year sentence for burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
