Peoria Public Library Explores the Origins of Human Life

newsdesk.si.edu

The Peoria Public Library is offering the opportunity to Explore Human Origins starting Friday, June 17th.

The Peoria’s Public Library system is one of 19 venues around the country to host a traveling Smithsonian Exhibit this summer called “Exploring Human Origins: What It Means to be Human.”

Trisha Noack is with Peoria Public Library. She says the grant exhibit includes five Smithsonian Scientists offering presentations in Peoria, and a private event for clergy.

Noack says the whole idea is to look at the science, and explore what we know in a respectful conversation.

That exhibit opens at 10:00a.m. at the main branch in downtown Peoria Friday, June 17th.

The Smithsonian Exhibit, Exploring Human Origins: What It Means to be Human is at the Peoria Public Library main branch June 17th through July 14th.
