Jump Displays Medical Innovations

OSF HealthCare System and Jump Trading Simulation Center spent today looking for ways to continue innovating medical practices. About 250 OSF administrators, leaders and community partners gathered at the Simulation Center today to learn about 10 different HealthCare, Medtech or device companies.

Michelle Conger is the Chief Strategy Officer for OSF HealthCare System. She says the HealthCare field is seeing a lot of change right now:

“People want immediate access to health care. Healthcare providers can become very exhausted by a lot of the change that is happening. So really our intent is to partner all of those things together and really listen to patients and provide what they need in terms of future.”

Conger says some of the innovations on display at the Discovery by Design event are already at work on a smaller scale.

The pilot project that allows testing and monitoring at home for certain medical conditions is one example. Conger says if home monitoring allows people to remain in their homes longer safely and lowers the cost of health care, they will roll the model out system wide.
