FBI Director Speaks to ELITE Graduates

Area high school ELITE Program graduates had a Key Note speaker that rivals anyone area college graduates have this year. The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, James Comey gave the address to the ELITE Program class.

His message was simple: Communication matters, a person’s reputation is like building a brick mansion and everybody’s 'faking it.' “The reason you need to know that is, so you don’t find your own feelings like that to be disabling, because everybody else feels like you do. They’re just faking it. Inside they’re like, “I hope they don’t find out what I’m really like. But once you know that, it’s liberating!”

Comey told the graduates to do something of value. He also did some recruiting. The 78 high school graduates completing the ELITE program come from six area schools including the three Peoria High Schools as well as Quest Charter Academy, Limestone and Dunlap.
