Louisville Slugger complex prepares for players to take to the field

Louisville Slugger Sports Complex

Baseball teams and their fans are flocking to Peoria this spring and summer.

More than 5,000 hotel room stays are booked for teams playing at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex, according to executive director Dan Cunningham.

He says games are scheduled for April through July, including more than 400 teams from a dozen states.

Construction of the complex was completed in December. The sports dome is expected to be complete in April.
