Illinois' Primary Election Early Voting Delayed

Peoria Public Radio

The start day for Early Voting and Vote by Mail in the Illinois Primary Election will be delayed. It was scheduled to start February 4th, but the executive director of the Peoria County Election

Commission says that can’t happen. Tom Bride says objections to several of the presidential candidate's placement on the Illinois Ballot won’t be resolved in time for the state to get it finalized and certified. He says the ballot will be ready no later than February 17th. Bride says if it can happen sooner they will notify the press and get the information posted to their web and social media sites.
