Those needing to dispose of a real Christmas Tree have a couple of options. Peoria and East Peoria residents can place their trees out with their trash on regular garbage collection day. Large trees should be cut in half or quartered to a manageable size. Trees picked up on regular garbage day will go into the landfill. Tazewell County residents preferring a greener option can drop trees off at various locations for mulching. Illinois Central College is one drop-off site.
