A District 150 school was placed on "soft" lockdown this morning after a report of a possible weapon on campus.
A District 150 spokesman says Police placed Sterling Middle School on lockdown at 9:35 am after a parent notified officials about a conversation she had with her child after school yesterday.
The district says police conducted locker searches but no weapon was found. The school was released from lockdown an hour and a half later.
