UnityPoint Health – Peoria is hosting a hiring fair today for nursing and medical support personnel.
The health system is looking for all levels of nurses and aids as well as a variety of other medical assistants, and physical and occupational therapists. Unity Point is also offering sign-on bonuses for certain nursing hires.
A UnityPoint spokesperson says they’re working to fill an industry-wide nursing shortage.
The hiring fair runs from 3 to 8 p-m at the Methodist Atrium on Main Street. Those attending are encouraged to bring their résumés.
UnityPoint Hiring Fair Details:
On-site interviews with hiring managers available as well as the opportunity to talk with nurses and other health-care staff to learn more about the opportunities available.
Sign-on bonuses for acute care, specialty care, rehab nurses and recent non-Methodist College graduates.
New non-Methodist College graduates will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus while an acute or specialty care registered nurse with two years’ minimum experience will receive a $7,500 sign-on bonus.
Rehabilitation nurses will receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus with two years’ minimum experience.
UnityPoint Health - Peoria is currently recruiting for:
• Nurses (RNs, LPNs)
• Medical assistants
• Certified nursing assistants (CNAs)
• Physical therapists
• Occupational therapists
• Surgery technicians
Current employees or employees that have held a nursing position in the last two years with any UnityPoint Health affiliate are not eligible for sign-on bonus.
Positions are available on both hospital campuses, as well as at UnityPoint at Home and UnityPoint Clinics.
