The Dunlap School board unanimously approved a balanced fiscal 2016 budget during Wednesday's meeting. Expenditures in the district’s educational fund is up slightly to accommodate higher enrollment and more staff. Director of Business Services Karen Beverlin says enrollment has increased on average about 2.3 percent a year since 2001.
The latest numbers show 4,436 students are currently enrolled. Beverlin says that’s nearly double what it was a decade ago.
