The East Peoria City Council approved Alan Servis as Fire Chief starting September 1st. Servis is a longtime member of the department and replaces former chief William Darin who retired this summer. Servis will make an annual salary of $107,000 per year.
The City Council also approved a special use request that clears the way to eventually build a new four-story, 62-unit senior living facility along Main Street.
