It's the wettest June in Illinois history

        CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Illinois' wet June is now one for the record book.
      State Climatologist Jim Angel says rainfall the past few days has officially made the month Illinois' wettest June in recorded state history. State records go back to 1895.
      Angel says through Saturday the statewide average rainfall total for the month was 8.91 inches. That tops the previous record June in 1902, when 8.27 inches of rain fell.
     And more rain is expected across much of the state before the July starts on Wednesday.
     According to Angel, four of the five wettest Junes in state history have now happened since 1998.
