Former American Pi building razed for future senior housing development

A former nightclub on Knoxville Avenue was being torn down Thursday to make way for a s$10 million senior housing project.

Criterion Development razed the old American Pi building to prepare the property for a 90-unit, four story facility.  Developer Chuck Hollis says the new housing project will compliment nearby shopping at Junction City, nearby park and recreational trail:

“This development plan is part of an overall master development plan, and ties together all of these properties in one master development.”

Hollis says construction on the 70,000 square foot senior housing project is set to start next spring and take a year to complete.
