Peoria’s Quest Charter academy is celebrating its transition away from a private management company to being a stand alone operation.

Doctor Nicole Wood is the school’s new executive director and will oversee day to day operations of the Middle and High Schools. Wood says she is attracted to the mission of Quest. “I love the idea of students having that innovation, of those problem solving skills, helping students become those bold thinkers and providing that STEM education.”

Wood was the Principal of Northmoor-Edison in 2008 when it earned the title of a Blue Ribbon School and has worked in a variety of elementary and secondary education administration and management roles.

Quest also has a new director of curriculum and instruction and new principals and assistant principals in both the middle and high school buildings.

Quest used the Concept Schools management company for the initial foundational years of the school.
