Two-way traffic coming to parts of Jefferson, Adams in Peoria

Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue in Peoria will have permanent two-way traffic for about six blocks.  Peoria City Engineer Scott Reeise says the two-way traffic will stretch from Walnut to Persimmon Streets starting at the end of the month.  He says the goal is to slow traffic and boost safety for pedestrians trying to access businesses on Adams and Jefferson.  Reeise says the changes are part of long-term improvements to the warehouse district.
