Glen Oak Park in Peoria will soon have another destination for children and families. The Peoria PlayHouse Children's Museum opens June 12th. It's the realized effort of the Junior League of Peoria after 14 years of fundraising and creation.

Here is an audio link to the walking tour of the event with PlayHouse Director Rebecca Shulman Herz. Peoria Park District Executive Director Bonnie Noble and PlayHouse Operations Manager Kristin Vannata are also part of the tour and the brief q and a session that happened as the tour was wrapping up.

The grand opening for the PlayHouse is 8:30a.m. June 12th.

Charter memberships are available through May 15th.

The Junior League is also hosting a Gala event to benefit the operations of the Children’s Museum. The event is called “Our first NIGHT AT THE Children’s MUSEUM.” Tickets and information are available at 309-681-2803.
