Peoria County admin. resigning May 31 for Wisconsin job

Peoria County Administrator Lori Curtis Luther is resigning May 31st after nearly four years on the job.

Luther is taking the job as City manager in Beloit, Wisconsin.  Luther came to Peoria from Waukesha, Wisconsin in 2011, where she was city administrator.  Peoria County Board Chairman Andrew Rand says existing administrative staff will absorb Luther’s duties in the short-term after she leaves:

“Sometimes folk may wonder well, how are we going to cover it in the meantime.  We have a great team.”

Luther says the move allows her family to be closer to relatives and the Beloit job allows her to return to city-management.  Peoria County Assistant Administrator Scott Sorrel will serve as acting Administrator after Luther departs.
