The City of Peoria launched a new online budget tool Monday that aims to boost public input.
Residents can use the ‘Online Budget Challenge’ tool through May 10th. City Manager Patrick Urich says it allows residents to make simulated spending decisions that could cut or add to the city’s deficit:
“It is set up with several long-term initiatives at the very beginning, then you move into a series of spending questions, and then you have some questions on revenues.”
Urich says the goal is to better gather public input on budget priorities for 2016. A link to the city’s online budget tool is available with this story by clicking here.
