About 22 Peoria National Guard members are running 24 hours straight, from Peoria to the graveside of their fallen brother, Staff Sergeant Jacob Frazier in Elwood, Illinois.

It’s a 129 mile run members of the 169th Air Support Operations Squadron out of Peoria are doing on their own time. They departed the Peoria base Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and are doing a relay run scheduled to arrive at the Elwood Illinois grave site at 1:00p.m. today.

The Peoria Team is raising money for the Tactical Air Control Party Association that supports the families of soldiers killed or or injured in action. The Peoria Team is one of many taking part in the world wide 24 Hour Annual TACP Challenge.

Staff Sergeant Jacob Frazier was killed in Afghanistan in 2003 during Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a TACP from the 169th Air Support Operations Squadron out of Peoria.

Team Peoria is running with Frazier’s memorial coin and has raised more than $16,000.
