Peoria District 150 has reached an agreement with Quest Charter Academy. The district's only charter school is five years old.
The tentative deal extends the charter another five years.
The Peoria Charter School Initiative Board also voted to let its contract with the academy’s current management group, Concept Schools, expire as of the end of July.
Instead the local Charter School Initiative is taking over day-to-day operations of the academy. The group is hiring an interim Executive Director to handle the responsibilities.
Financial terms of the agreement are expected to be released at the District 150 School Board Meeting next week.
