Central IL woman pleads guilty in mutilation of farmer's body

A central Illinois woman has pleaded guilty to mutilating a human body and concealing a homicide in connection with the slaying of a 74-year-old farmer whose remains were found in two counties.
25-year-old Vishawn Mills entered the plea Tuesday in Woodford County Circuit Court on the day her trial was set to begin. Prosecutors agreed to drop three counts of first-degree murder.
The charges stem from the August 2013 slaying of Oakley Mitchell of Secor. He was shot and his body was burned and dumped in the Mackinaw River.
Mills' boyfriend, Rayshawn Johnson, is serving 50 years for murder in the case.
Under a plea agreement, Mills faces a maximum prison sentence of 20 years when she is sentenced March 3.
