Those utilizing the Peoria International Airport can expect some long term traffic changes. Airport officials say Dirksen Parkway will be reduced to one lane from Middle Road into the airport parking lot beginning this week.
The lane reduction is taking place as construction on a new international arrivals facility begins. A portion of the exit road from Byerly Aviation to Dirksen Parkway will also be reduced to one lane to allow for semi-truck traffic.
The lane changes will remain in place until construction is finished in spring of 2016.
