First class seating to be offered out of PIA

General Wayne Downing Peoria International Airport

Those taking flights to and from Dallas/Fort Worth out of the Peoria International Airport will have the option of flying first class.

The General Wayne Downing facility announced American Eagle Airlines is upgrading its aircraft to CRJ-700 jets beginning March 29th. Nine first class seats will be available on the flights.

Airport Director Gene Olson says first class seating is a frequent request from business travelers.

“Those people have a disproportionate impact on economic development in the community, so we want to make sure that they are able to get the product that they want to purchase.”

American Eagle Airlines will offer flights to the southern hub twice a day, including on the weekend.

The CRJ-700 jets will carry up to 65 people while the previous aircraft carried 50.
