A new sculpture graces the front door of Peoria’s Public Television station and the home of the Symphony Orchestra.

Sharon and John Amdall commissioned the award-winning Midwest artist Charles Strain last summer to sculpt the piece. Sharon Amdall says the bronze piece is called Treble Clef. “We wanted to celebrate and honor two leading cultural institutions for Central Illinois: WTVP and the 117 year old Peoria Symphony Orchestra. ”

The permanent sculpture will anchor the Arts Partners proposed Sculpture Walk. It’s to launch next summer and include 10 mobile pieces of art in the Warehouse District. The pieces will be changed out annually.
