Peoria County revising loan review process

A $2.5 million loan request from Peoria-based ELM is still up in the air at Peoria County. A vote on the loan request was delayed once some board members expressed concern about a lack of financial data from the company.  Board member Andrew Rand says the County needs to first consider whether a loan fits into it’s policies before voting:

“There are some clear discoveries that we need to remedy, and then reset the process, take another fresh look.”

Rand also says he supports a push by administration to expand the number of people on an advisory loan-review group. He says he wants to see more people with commercial-lending experience on the group.
