More than 30 Caterpillar and Honeywell Technologies employees built a new gazebo today in one of the Washington Community Park hardest hit by last year’s tornado.

Nitin Kulkarni is the Vice President of Honeywell Turbo Technologies. He says they wanted to support the building in an effort to counterbalance some of the remaining scars. While we can not replace what they have lost. We can certainly give back in our own way. This isn’t just the community where our customer Caterpillar’s employees live. It’s a community where our employees live too.”

The volunteer team was connected with the projects in Harry LaHood Park with the aid of Rebuilding Together Peoria. The park in the middle of a neighborhood that’s being rebuilt and also still growing.
