PIA sees record number of passengers

More people than ever before are flying through the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport.

September marks the 7th month of passenger growth with nearly 52-thousand people flying through PIA.

Similar records were set each month since March, showing a 7% ridership increase over the same time last year.

The Peoria International Airport provides 10 nonstop destinations on four airlines. A new route to Orlando-Sanford begins November 14th.
