ArtsPartners of Central Illinois celebrated its recent accomplishments during its annual meeting Wednesday. The ‘State of the Arts’ event recognizes committee members, community groups and city officials who support arts outreach in the region. Suzette Boulais is executive director at ArtsPartners. She says the annual meeting also recognizes the successful ‘Ignite Peoria’ event held this summer:
“That celebrated arts and creativity and brought in 6,300 individuals to downtown, put feet on streets. We think that is absolutely exciting.”
Boulais says the event also brings focus to future goals for the arts group. She says the revitalization of the Peoria Warehouse District is another effort that will help boost interest in the arts downtown.
