Northwoods Mall in Peoria is serving as the site of an emergency response training drill Sunday morning.
The Mall is generally closed during the time the drill is planned to run. The drill is from seven to eleven Sunday morning.
The Central Illinois Emergency Response Team as well as the Peoria Police Special Response team, the Fire Department and AMT are participating in the drill with Northwoods Mall Management and several retail businesses.
A statement from the Peoria Police Department says collaborative drills like this ensure the community is in the best possible position to respond to a crisis situation.
