Peoria is crafting a bicycle path master plan

Peoria Public Radio

The City of Peoria is collecting citizen input for a bicycle path master plan.

The Public Works department held a meeting in the northern part of the city Wednesday night and  another at Bradley last night.

Nick Stoffer is Peoria’s Traffic Engineer and is overseeing the project. He says it’s in the early part of planning that evaluates existing conditions and collects public feedback. “We’re just getting information now and trying to get people’s input as to what they want to see in the plan and where they want connections and what kind of routes they’d like to see and basically where they’d like to go and how they want to use the bike plan when it’s all said and done.”

Stoffer says people can still give their input and the survey provides room for open comments. He says those interested in having their ideas in the master plan need to submit in the city’s survey or call them in by mid-September.
