OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is hosting the 4th annual Party for a Purpose on Sunday, August 31st.
The free event runs from five to nine on the Peoria Riverfront, and raises awareness of lung cancer while encouraging cancer screening and testing. It also includes activities for area residents. Some of the featured attractions include door prizes, face painting and balloon animals. The West MacQueen Street band will also perform on the CEFCU center stage.
The event also features a ‘Shine the Light on Cancer’ awareness vigil at 8:30 that evening.
