The Peoria International Airport is continuing to see a trend of increased passenger traffic this year.
The facility has been setting monthly passenger records throughout the second quarter of the year.
The latest is from June with more than 59-thousand passengers traveling through the airport. That’s a ten-percent increase from the same time last year.
Airport officials say there’s been an eight-percent increase in passengers using the airport from March to June compared to the same period last year.
The most popular destinations for passengers are Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas.
