Hines Primary School has a new principal for this academic year.
Peoria Public Schools Superintendent Dr. GernitaLathan named Matthew Durr to the post.
Durr most recently served as Assistant principal at Roosevelt Magnet School and replaces outgoing principal Heather Young.
This is not his first time at Hines Primary. Durr taught at the school four years ago.
