The City of East Peoria offers condolences

Peoria Public Radio

The City of East Peoria is offering condolences to the family and friends of the three people shot to death at a class reunion Saturday.

33-year-old Lori Moore and 36-year-old Lance Griffel were attending her class reunion at the Fifth Quarter Bar when they were shot by her ex-husband, 40-year-old Jason Moore. He was shot by an off duty FBI Agent.

East Peoria Mayor Dave Mingus says it’s a lesson to make time count with loved ones. He says further it would be helpful for the community to support the restaurant and bar business where the shootings happened. “And it would be a shame for this to be detrimental to the business because its no fault of their own. I talked to the owner today and they will be open for business tomorrow. Let’s given our support.”

The Fifth Quarter bar and pizzeria has been closed since the shooting. The business is open for lunch and dinner.
