State, county and local law enforcement in Farmington are now investigating a death as part of a fire that destroyed the former high school. The fire occurred about two weeks ago at what's now called the Old School Center.
The Fulton County Coroner confirms a body was found in the wreckage of the facility Thursday, two weeks after the fire occurred. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday afternoon. The body has not been identified.
Illinois State Police, the State Fire Marshall, Fulton County Police, the county coroner and Farmington police are investigating.
