Report: despite pressure, Caterpillar plans to attend Russian forum

Caterpillar still plans to sending a representative to a global economic forum in Russia this month despite pressure from the White House to cancel the trip. The New York Times reports White House aides are urging top officials from financial and industrial corporations to skip the forum in the face of international tensions with Russia over Ukraine. Caterpillar spokeswoman Rachel Potts says the company plans to be represented at the forum, but is monitoring the situation closely. The New York Times reports that the top executives at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and other multinational companies plan to pull out of the forum.
