Spring clean up for East Peoria residents

East Peoria residents have the opportunity to do some spring cleaning Monday through Friday. The City of East Peoria is offering to picking up large garbage from occupied single family homes that currently have trash service.

People can throw out furniture, mattresses, household goods, and tree limbs.  All junk must be set at the curb no later than 5 a.m. on garbage day. Things that will not be accepted include tires, electronics and appliances. Construction and remodeling materials, landscape waste, and hazardous waste are also not being accepted.

Waste management is taking electronics for recycling at the former East Peoria Landfill site at no charge.
Commercial, business, and multi-family properties are not included in the clean-up.
