Additional Disaster Relief for Tornado Victims

Individuals affected by November’s tornado will be getting extra help in the recovery process. The American Red Cross is partnering with AmeriCares and Lutheran Disaster Response to provide disaster case management. The expanded services will benefit families in Champaign, Massac and Tazewell counties, the areas hardest hit by the tornado.

Case managers from Lutheran Social Services of Illinois will work with residents to create recovery plans. Access to services such as relocation assistance, temporary housing, child care, counseling, and rebuilding help will be provided.  The goal is to connect those in need with the services that will help them in the recovery process as they rebuild their lives.
