Peoria police are warning residents of a rash of vehicle burglaries. The incidents are taking place in neighborhoods with the boundaries of McClure Avenue north between Knoxville and University as well as in neighborhoods bordering War Memorial Drive, Northmoor and University.
Police say residents should be sure to lock their car doors, close overhead garage doors, and make sure their homes are properly secure. Residents are also encouraged to keep their front and back porch lights on to discourage more burglaries. Anyone with information on the thefts should call the police department of Crime Stoppers.
