East Peoria residents now have an easier way to report issues to the city. The city launched the smart phone app, Access East Peoria.
The application is available for iphone and android devices as well as for desktop computer users. It allows residents to submit, track and view various service requests. Jill Peterson is the spokesperson for East Peoria.
“You see an issue out and about, say a pothole. You can report it to the city staff. You can even take a picture of it. It will tell us exactly where it is. The person making the report will get an email confirming we received it. Then throughout the entire process, they will receive updates on how we have remedied the problem and when the problem is completely finished.”
Peterson says other issues that can be reported using Access East Peoria include damaged signs, zoning code violations, suspicious activity and fire code violations. The goal for the city is to eventually use the app to send notices to users like water main breaks. It’s available in the Apple app store and Google Play.
