It’s been more than 60 days since tornadoes tore through the Midwest November, 17, 2014. More than 2,600 people have already registered for individual FEMA recovery assistance statewide.
But there are at least 200 people in Tazewell County who have not yet registered, and it’s presumed there are at least as many in the state’s other 14 impacted counties.
The one FEMA Recovery Center remaining open in Illinois is located in Tazewell County. Peoria Public Radio’s Tanya Koonce tours the center with FEMA spokeswoman Deanna Frazier to walk through what’s involved:
