A local school is one of 22 selected to receive a state loan for technology needs. The Illinois State Board of Education announced Peoria Heights District 325 will receive a 100-thousand dollar loan. The three-year loan has a two-percent interest rate and must be repaid over six years.
The Peoria Heights School District plans to use the money for various infrastructure needs. That includes improving its wireless network and replacing a computer lab in its grade school.
