Potential cheating at District 150 school for I-SAT testing

A Peoria District 150 primary school may have cheated in the way state testing was given to special education students.

The District says it discovered quote, ‘potential ‘irregularities’ with the way the Illinois Standard Achievement Test, or I-SAT, exams were given to the 3rd and 4th grade special-education students at Charter Oak Primary School.

Officials say that could involve potential cheating with administering the test from 2008 through the current academic year.  District 150 Superintendent GrenitaLathan says in a release that the district self-reported the issue to the State Board of Education.  It’s unclear how long it will take for the state board to consider the matter.

A district spokesman would not say whether officials at Charter Oak were placed on leave or disciplined because of the potential cheating. But the school’s principal, John Wetterauer, is reportedly on administrative leave. It's also unclear how many students may have been impacted.
