Residents in the Rome and Chillicothe areas are getting access to improved water service. Illinois American Water Company announced it’s building a 400-thousand gallon elevated water storage tank to better serve its customers. The tank will be located at Rome West Road near the intersection of North Regency Park in Chillicothe.
The nearly two-million dollar project will provide increased storage capacity to meet customer demand and improve fire protection. It will be completed next fall.
