The Peoria Public Library’s Main Branch sustained some flooding following heavy rains that occurred overnight. A spokesperson with the library says the Children’s Room and delivery room used to sort and transport books were impacted by the flooding, but no library materials were damaged. The Children’s Room is closed Thursday and will likely be closed Friday so staff can remove water and dry carpeting. Library officials remind residents that the Children’s areas are open at all other branches.
