A Central High School student in District 150 reported an attempted abduction Wednesday. District spokesman Chris Coplan says the student was walking to school when a driver pulled up in a white four-door sedan with gold rims and tinted windows. The suspect then asked the student to move towards the vehicle.
Coplan says the suspect is a white male with a thin mustache wearing a black and yellow hat. He says Central had extra school officers on site during dismissal Wednesday. Coplan says they also emailed and called parents asking them to be alert as their children travel to and from school. Anyone with information on the incident should call the Peoria Police Department.
