Due to the hot forecast, Peoria Public Schools will dismiss early. Middle and High School students including at Trewyn and Lincoln will leave at 1:00 this afternoon. Rolling Acres will dismiss at 1:15 p.m.
Primary Schools, including Harrison, Roosevelt and the Developmental Center will dismiss 2:00 this afternoon. Northmoor and Franklin will dismiss at 2:15 p.m.
There will be no afternoon pre-k classes at Sterling or Valeska Hinton during this time. District 150 continues to provide water and extra ice to non-air-conditioned schools throughout these two days. District officials say each school has at least one air-conditioned room to act as a cooling center.
